The Icelandic Society
The journal Íslenska þjóðfélagið (Icelandic society) has a strong theoretical and methodological approach and is designed to promote research and academic debate on Icelandic society as particular academic subject. The journal is a forum for diverse research on Icelandic society and calls for input from all fields of social sciences that have Icelandic reality as its subject, such as sociology, criminology, anthropology, folklore, politics, gender, education and media sciences. The journal is listed in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals -http: //www.doaj.org/) and is open access according to CC by 4.0.

Milli mála birtir ritrýndar fræðigreinar á sviði erlendra tungumála, bókmennta, þýðinga, málvísinda og menntunarfræði en einnig birtir tímaritið þýðingar, viðtöl, ritdómar eða bókakynningar eftir því sem rúm leyfir hverju sinni.

Netla - english edition
Netla – Online Journal on Pedagogy and Education (Netla – Veftímarit um uppeldi og menntun) publishes academic articles in Icelandic and English, as well as reports on development projects, discursive and reflective articles, essays, interviews, publication announcements and critical abstracts relating to the disciplines of pedagogy and education. When appropriate, a special effort is made to make use of the diverse communication capabilities of the internet and, in this connection, authors have in several instances published materials combined with sound and motion picture clips.
Specialized editions of the journal have generally been either confined to a particular theme or associated with educational science conferences and have published peer-reviewed materials and academic articles.

Icelandic Review of Politics & Administration
The Icelandic Review of Politics and Administration (Stjórnmál og stjórnsýsla in Icelandic) publishes original research on Icelandic politics and policy related subjects. Articles with a broader political science relevance may also be considered, especially articles of a sufficiently high standard with a comparative focus or containing theoretical and methodological innovations. The journal is open to submission from political scientists and researchers in related fields dealing with politics, public administration and policy relevant issues. Journal articles are published in English or Icelandic. Articles in Icelandic are accompanied with abstracts and bibliographic information in English. Publication dates on the web are: mid-June (end of June in 2020) and mid-December. A printed edition of the two volume issues is published in March the following year. Submission deadlines are as follows: 1st of April for the June issue and 1st of October for the December issue. In 2023 the deadline for the June issue is 11th of April.

Icelandic Journal of Education is published twice a year. But is always open for submissions.

Research in applied business and economics
The aim of the journal it to provide a forum for publication of academic papers and discussion on business and economics. Research in applied business and economics is published by the Department of Business, Bifröst University; Faculty of Business Administration and Faculty of Economics, University of Iceland; Department of Business and Economics, Reykjavík University and the Central Bank of Iceland. Online ISSN is 1670-4851.
